DL Effect Terms of Service

Effective Date: September 15, 2026

These Terms of Service apply to services purchased from DL Effect. By purchasing, booking, or participating in a DL Effect service, you acknowledge and agree to these terms.

DL Effect Services

DL Effect provides personalized makeup education, private makeup consultations, makeup bag audits, product guidance, color matching, technique instruction, and related beauty education services.

The DL Effect Makeup Mastery Consultation is an educational service designed to help clients better understand their own makeup, products, colors, application techniques, and personal beauty routine.

DL Effect provides personalized guidance based on professional experience, observation, and information provided by the client. Individual experiences and results will vary.

Product Recommendations

Product recommendations are based on professional observations, information provided by the client, products reviewed during the consultation, and the client's individual beauty needs and preferences.

DL Effect does not manufacture the third-party cosmetics, skincare products, beauty products, tools, or personal-care products that may be discussed or recommended.

Clients are responsible for reviewing product ingredients, warnings, instructions, expiration information, and manufacturer guidance before using any product.

DL Effect cannot guarantee that a particular third-party product will be suitable for every individual and is not responsible for allergic reactions, sensitivities, irritation, or other adverse reactions resulting from the use of third-party products.

Clients with known allergies or sensitivities should disclose relevant concerns before the consultation and should consult an appropriately qualified healthcare professional regarding medical or dermatological concerns.

Payment and Appointments

Payment is required to reserve a DL Effect Makeup Mastery Consultation unless otherwise expressly agreed by DL Effect.

After purchasing a consultation, clients may select an available appointment date and time through the DL Effect scheduling system.

Appointment availability is limited and is offered on a first-available basis.

A confirmed appointment is reserved specifically for the client and is subject to the scheduling, cancellation, rescheduling, and no-show terms below.

Makeup Mastery Consultations

The DL Effect Makeup Mastery Consultation is a private, one-on-one makeup education session.

During the consultation, the client applies her own makeup while receiving personalized instruction, demonstrations, observations, guidance, and technique corrections from De Shawn LaFaye.

The consultation may include review of the client's existing makeup products, skincare preparation for makeup application, professional color matching, product guidance, placement and blending techniques, contouring and highlighting, eyebrow care, eyelash care, and other makeup education appropriate to the client's individual needs.

Clients are encouraged to bring their current makeup products and tools so they can be reviewed and incorporated into the consultation when appropriate.

Client Responsibility

Clients are responsible for:

• Providing accurate booking and contact information

• Arriving and being prepared at the scheduled appointment time

• Bringing makeup products and tools requested or reasonably needed for the consultation

• Informing DL Effect of known allergies, sensitivities, or relevant product concerns

• Following applicable cancellation, lateness, and rescheduling requirements

• Using their own judgment when purchasing or using products discussed during the consultation

Clients Under 18

DL Effect services are intended primarily for adults age 18 and older.

A person under 18 may participate only when accompanied by an adult age 18 or older for the duration of the service.

Participation of a minor must be disclosed when booking.

An additional $50 fee applies to appointments involving a minor because the appointment includes instruction and participation involving both the minor and accompanying adult.

DL Effect reserves the right to decline or reschedule an appointment if participation of a minor was not disclosed in advance.

Makeup Mastery Pages and Educational Materials

Personalized Makeup Mastery Pages, guides, recommendations, instructional materials, graphics, videos, written content, and other original materials provided by DL Effect are intended for the client's personal use.

These materials may not be reproduced, copied, sold, republished, distributed, shared for commercial purposes, or commercially exploited without permission from DL Effect.

Product names, trademarks, and other third-party intellectual property referenced within DL Effect materials remain the property of their respective owners.

Scheduling, Cancellations, Rescheduling and No-Shows

All DL Effect service purchases and appointment payments are non-refundable.

Rescheduling

A client may reschedule an appointment one time by calling DL Effect no later than two hours before the scheduled appointment time.

The payment from the original appointment will be applied to the rescheduled appointment.

Once an appointment has been rescheduled, no additional rescheduling is available. If the client does not attend the rescheduled appointment, the payment is forfeited and no refund, credit, or additional reschedule will be provided.

Late Arrivals

DL Effect provides a 15-minute grace period after the scheduled appointment time.

A client arriving within the grace period may still receive the consultation. The appointment remains subject to the originally scheduled time and will not be extended because of the client's late arrival.

No-Shows

If a client has not contacted DL Effect and does not arrive within 15 minutes of the scheduled appointment time, the appointment will be considered a no-show.

The payment for a no-show appointment is forfeited. No refund, credit, or reschedule will be provided.

A new appointment may be booked only by purchasing a new consultation.

Refunds

Payments for DL Effect services are non-refundable.

Rescheduling an eligible appointment according to the requirements above is the client's available remedy when she is unable to attend her originally scheduled appointment.

Limitation of Services

DL Effect provides makeup education and cosmetic guidance.

DL Effect does not provide medical care, dermatological treatment, diagnosis, esthetic medical services, or other healthcare services.

Any skincare discussion provided during a Makeup Mastery Consultation is limited to general preparation of the skin for cosmetic application and makeup wear.

Questions involving medical conditions, persistent or significant skin reactions, allergies, or other health concerns should be directed to an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.

Right to Refuse or End a Service

DL Effect reserves the right to refuse, discontinue, or end a service when reasonably necessary because of unsafe conditions, harassment, threatening or inappropriate behavior, undisclosed circumstances that materially change the nature of the service, or other circumstances that make continuing the service unreasonable or unsafe.

When appropriate, DL Effect will determine whether an appointment may be rescheduled in accordance with the applicable scheduling and rescheduling terms.

Changes to These Terms

DL Effect may update these Terms of Service as services or business practices change. The version posted on the DL Effect website at the time of purchase will apply to the applicable transaction unless otherwise required by law.
